How do I keep my Christmas tree from drying out?

To keep your Christmas tree from drying out, make sure to water it every day. A well-watered tree stays fresh longer and maintains its beautiful scent. Keep it away from direct heat sources like radiators, fireplaces, or sunny windows, and avoid placing it outside on hot days, as the Australian heat can dry it out quickly.

Do I need to trim the base of my tree before setting it up?

Yes, it's important to trim the base off your tree before setting it up. Cutting about 1-2 cm off the bottom allows the tree to absorb water more effectively, helping it stay fresh for as long as possible. That said, because all our trees are freshly cut, it’s not essential as long as you place the tree in water as soon as it arrives.

What should I do if my Christmas tree starts losing needles?

It’s normal for your Christmas tree to drop some needles, especially when it first settles in. However, if you notice more needles falling than usual, it might be drying out. Make sure the water level in the tree stand is always full—your tree needs daily hydration to stay fresh. Keep it away from heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, and sunny windows, and avoid placing it outside on hot days.

Are real Christmas trees sustainable?

Yes, real Christmas trees are a sustainable choice! Our trees are grown specifically for the holiday season, and for every tree harvested, another is planted to continue the cycle. After Christmas, your tree can be mulched and returned to the soil to help future trees grow. Plus, real trees absorb carbon dioxide while they grow, contributing to a healthier environment. Choosing a real tree means embracing nature’s beauty and supporting sustainable farming practices!

How often should I water my real Christmas tree?

You should water your real Christmas tree every day. When you first set it up, your tree will drink a lot of water, so be sure to keep the stand full. As time goes on, it’s normal for the tree to slow down its water intake—this is nothing to worry about. Just keep the water level steady to keep your tree fresh throughout the season!
